The Site

The site, an active commercial forest owned by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), lies

across the East and South Ayrshire Council boundaries, with the south west corner within South Ayrshire, the remainder being in East Ayrshire.

Current Status

Scoping Report submitted to Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit (ECU) in September 2025.    

Public Consultation

Force 9 is committed to open and transparent communication with the local community. The first public consultation was held in October 2025 and the second exhibition will take place on the 12th and 14th May in Straiton and Patna, respectively. Visit the Public Exhibition tab for more details.
